Let the World breath: A cautious Habitat day

To reside in a place that has cleanliness at its best is the dream that most of the people have now, for which collective measures are taken as well so that places can be maintained with tidiness. Innumerable campaigns and missions keep happening every year especially on certain occasional days where the people get down on their foot to make sure that places are sterilized and kept clean. One such day is the World Habitat day where the people are reminded of the necessity of maintaining cleanliness. This year, the occasion has been provided with the theme of Municipal Solid Waste Management giving it a more particular criterion of concern. On having assigned this by the UN, the body is trying to raise the very same global issue that is being faced by the people and Kerala, on the other hand, is taking initiatives for the same in a continuum.
Day by day, there is an increase in the amount of solid waste that is being produced by each individual which is also why this has been considered as a global issue. The Gods own country has been facing a lot of problems as to people dumping these solid waste into unoccupied compounds and into the water bodies making the place unhygienic which later on leads to the result of viral diseases. Hence it is necessary that the people begin by building a house or by getting a flat where they can conveniently make pace to a proper disposal system.

In Kerala, there are several flats in Thrissur, a municipal corporation and other districts wherein the initial stage of building the house, a proper disposal system is figured out where incinerators are installed in the flats and housing colonies so that on taking the effort of dropping the waste there, waste can be orderly disposed. While burning plastics remain highly dangerous, it is advised that the people store them and give them to the recycling centers where it can either be recycled or disposed of in a mannerly order. By doing so we are saving most of the natural bodies like rivers and lakes which are now seen as a dumpster of plastic wastes.
Other than maintaining a clean environment in and around one's houses, it is also equally important to make that people do not litter around. In the recent floods that took place in the state, a large amount of plastic waste had been discovered and also the ways through which it could be trashed was also tracked down. On traveling and hanging outside, effort must be taken in disposing of the wastes in the public waste bins or it must be carried back home and dumped in the bin. In fact, it is the little gestures of human beings that make the earth a better place to live at and hence it completely relies upon our hands as to how much effort we should put in keeping our place clean and tidy.
